Songshan Cultural and Creative Park was completed in 1937 as the Songshan Tobacco Factory, which was one of the seed companies of a monopoly system mandated by the Taiwan Governor-General Office. In 2001, the Taipei City Government named the tobacco factory the city’s historic site. In recent years, it has been transformed into a place for cultural and creative activities. It integrates art, literature, design, and other exhibitions, and has set up “SongYan Gallery” and “SongYan Style Gallery” to explore Taiwan's high-quality cultural and creative brands. Visitors will be able to experience the history of SongYan, feel the cultural and creative lifestyle, and taste the specialty food and beverages.

Taipei Dome

Taipei Dome is Taiwan's first indoor baseball stadium, accommodating 40,000 seats. It is the largest indoor stadium in Taiwan, and the only Dome-sized arena in Taiwan, which can be used to host large-scale international sports events and major entertainment shows. There are many themed restaurants and stores inside and outside the stadium and on the underground streets, making it a bustling place to visit, and the surrounding green areas provide a large park for visitors to relax and unwind.

National Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall

National Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, completed in 1972, is a Tang Dynasty-style building built to commemorate the revolutionary deeds and personality of Dr. Sun Yat-sen, the father of the nation, and to promote his ideology and teachings, and it is a place where visitors can watch the changing of the guard ceremony on the hour. The venue also serves the functions of cultural and artistic education, life and leisure, and academic research, and has been used to organize exhibitions and performances, such as the Golden Horse Awards and the Golden Bell Awards. The majestic building is located in Zhongshan Park, which is surrounded by greenery and flowers, and has been a bright star in the eastern district of Taipei.

Four Four South Village

Four Four South Village was the first military dependents' village in the Taipei area, and is also the gathering place of civilian military dependents' village culture. Because it is located in the south of the Four Four Arsenal, it is named “Four Four South Village,” preserving the culture of the military dependents' villages, and has become a new hub for cultural and creative development in Taipei City. The low-rise buildings with an old-time charm contrast sharply with the surrounding commercial skyscrapers of Taipei’s financial center, showcasing the architectural styles of Xinyi District’s past and present.

Ciyou Temple

Ciyou Temple is dedicated to the deity Black Faced Mazu. Legend has it that Mazu, after ascending to immortality, often rescued ships in distress at sea, and is a spiritual symbol of the local people, as well as a representative of the religious beliefs of the Han Chinese people. The temple is square, rises six floors and has an impressive main hall. The roof ridge is elaborately adorned with twin dragons facing three immortals representing wealth, happiness and longevity—a motif symbolizing divine protection.

Rainbow Riverside Park

Rainbow Riverside Park is situated along Keelung River between Sun Yat-Sen Freeway and First MacArthur Bridge. The Rainbow Bridge spans across Chengmei Left/Right Bank Riverside Park. The red and elegant S-shaped bridge is a hotspot adored by photography enthusiasts.

The Songshan area was referred to as Xikou during the reign of Emperor Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty. Located on Songhe Street near Water Gate No. 4, the Xikou Ferry had long been a trade/distribution center for commodities from across the island and, in its heyday, a port that inspired the development of Xikou culture in Songshan.Xikou Wharf is the main wharf of the blue waterway in Songshan District.Among the distinctive attractions in the neighborhood, the Rainbow Bridge, Songshan Ciyou Temple and Raohe Tourist Night Market offer cuisines and various entertainments that redefines Xikou Pier as an emerging tourist high spot.
